The Approved Brokers Community of Practice or ABC of P is a community of practice organisation set up to connect, develop, reward, and support our qualified community brokerage members practising throughout Scotland.
Learning & Earning Points Exchange Scheme
Is a bespoke incentive scheme for members. The scheme is designed to help with supporting and rewarding best practice. This scheme is a tool designed to help focus and motivate members with their Continuing Professional Development or Learning (CPD/CPL) and links to ABC of P’s aim of improving community brokerage standards throughout Scotland. The scheme works by financially and exclusively rewarding members for the time and effort (number of hours per year) put into improving their practice.
Membership of the Scheme
Is open to all FULL members of the ABC of P. FULL membership is defined as individuals who have completed and qualified in the Community Brokerage Award
The Benefits
Members can:
• earn up to £30.00 per year in virtual Amazon gift cards
• stay motivated to complete or exceed their CPD targets
The Points Scale
The scale (see below) starts from the completion of minimum 10 hours, then 15 hours, 20 hours, 25 hours, up to the maximum of 30 hours the recommended number of professional CPL hours per year. To claim their first gift card, members must complete and record at least 10 hours of CPL during a calendar year.
Your Responsibilities
You must read and agree to the T&Cs for this scheme. By completing the website application form you are formally agreeing that you accept the T&Cs. You must complete and submit a Learning & Earning Application for each gift card you claim. You will find the form in the member section of the www.abcop.scot website.
You are responsible for ensuring and recording that you have undertaken the CPL hours stated on your application form. Each application form submitted is considered your agreement that you have undertaken and completed the CPL hours (equal to number of points to be exchanged) stated. ABC of P reserves the right to request at any time that you provide them with recorded evidence to support your points exchange claim. This is standard practice and is known as a CPL audit.
Use of Learning & Earning Points Exchange Scheme
Gift cards must only be applied for by individual members registered with the ABC of P and must not be completed by non-member individuals under any circumstances. Gift cards will normally be awarded to members in digital format only. If a physical card is required, this will be considered on an individual basis. Please contact: ABCOP@protonmail.com for more information. Note that postage costs will apply at the standard Royal Mail rate for paper and physical cards.
GDPR
It is a condition of your usage of this scheme that you specifically agree to be contacted by the ABC of P to keep you informed and update you on relevant activities related to this scheme. By completing and submitting your application form you agree for your details specifically your first name, last name and email to be stored electronically and in paper format in a secure location for the purposes of administering and managing this scheme.
